Full-time Healthcare Marketing Manager - Program Manager

This purpose of this role is to source a Senior Advisor / Senior Marketing Manager for Physician & Patient Engagement. This position does hav the potential for Temp to perm conversion for the right candidate.

Woonsocket RI is the preferred location. Northbrook IL would be considered as an alternative, but Woonsocket is highly preferred.

Embarking upon the development of, and investment in, breakthrough strategies to drive medication adherence and clinical outcomes. These strategies will be deployed across multiple channels and across the enterprise, including the retail pharmacy and pharmacy benefit management (PBM) business. The Senior Advisor will develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to drive patient medication adherence through physicians as influencers of medication adherence. These responsibilities include the development and oversight of marketing and engagement plans that are targeted to physicians and/or patients.
Components of the marketing and engagement plans include, but are not limited to, leveraging Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and ePrescribing systems to trigger messages for physicians to deliver to patients, developing educational collateral for patients, and developing direct-to-physician and/or direct-to-patient communications. This individual must be able to work effectively across the enterprise, and will develop the strategy and marketing plan in collaboration with the Provider organization. This individual will play a key role in a high profile initiative.
The incumbent will:
• Conduct research, analysis and segmentation of the physician landscape to determine how best to leverage physicians, a key influencer, to drive patient medication adherence
• Develop a keen understanding of both patients and physicians and the wants/needs of both audiences as it relates to patient medication adherence. Develop a keen understanding of the core drivers and barriers to medication adherence.
• Recommend and implement market research, as needed, to uncover insights and develop hypotheses around specific approaches to driving patient medication adherence through physicians as influencers
• Develop a strategic marketing plan and oversee tactical implementation of the plan. Marketing plan may include communication to physicians and/or patients across multiple communication channels including electronic channels (e.g., ePrescribing systems, EMR systems), telephonic outreach, printed collateral, etc.
• Develop and implement pilots to test hypotheses and gain in-market learnings
• Collaborate with technical experts, as needed, to identify and define technology and capability enhancements required to promote patient engagement (e.g., by building physician messaging into electronic systems)
• Define key success metrics and ensure that all marketing plans and pilots have clear business cases and drive clear business outcomes
• Work across multiple business units and functions to develop and implement the strategic marketing plan and pilots


Responsibilities •
- Strategy Development: Leads development of a comprehensive strategy to drive patient medication adherence through physicians as influencers of medication adherence. This will require research and analysis in order to generate insights and a strategic approach. Strategy will be developed in collaboration with the Provider organization.

- Marketing Plan Development and Execution: Leads development and execution of the marketing plan including patient and physician segmentation, communication channel selection and communication collateral development. Develops and implements pilots to gain in-market learnings. This work will require coordination and collaboration with the Provider organization and other business units and cross-functional business partners.

- Results Measurement: Works with Analytics team and other business partners to define success metrics and success criteria, monitor outcomes and determine impacts of results on future pilots/tests.

- Marketing Leadership: Participates as a key member of the Enterprise Adherence Team to add perspective, insight and marketing direction for this newly established team.

Required Bachelor Degree
Preferred Masters degree

Required 7+ years of equivalent work experience.
Health care experience required
Direct-to-physician and/or direct-to-patient experience (e.g., pharma product/brand manager, hospital marketing department)

1. Track record of driving results and behavior change through patient and/or physician engagement and marketing strategies. Experience across multiple communication channels (e.g., web, direct mail, face-to-face).
2. Strong strategic thinking skills with a proven ability to develop sound business plans that achieve objectives.
3. Strong driver of results with a proven ability to successfully juggle multiple priorities, execute flawlessly and meet all deadlines.
4. Strong collaboration, relationship and influence skills. Proven track record of leading, influencing and driving decision-making and consensus across business units and across functions.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong executive presence and ability to present to senior level audiences.
6. Comfort with ambiguity; ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities within a newly established organization.
7. Comfort and experience working with key business partners who are off-site/in different geographies
8. Healthcare industry experience including patient and/or physician engagement.
