Full-time Windows Server Project Developer

at Debbie Felton in Phoenix

Work in tandem with the Windows Server Project Team to:
a. Upgrade the current C#/VB/VC++ Windows server applications running in Windows Server 2003 OS to Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 OS.

A.Windows Server Project Developer’s role:
1. Work in tandem with the Windows Server Project Team to:
2. Upgrade the current C#/VB/VC++ Windows server applications running in Windows Server 2003 OS to Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 OS.
3. Upgrade the current SQL Stored Procedures running in SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2008 R2/2012.
4. Develop and execute Unit Testing Cases and Integration Testing Cases.
5. Work in partnership with team members, Business Analysts and end customers during the entire SDLC process/project lifecycle.
6. Work with the Deployment Teams to install the upgraded apps and Stored Procs.
7. Work with the Business Analysts and end customers to perform the post install verification of the upgraded apps and Stored Procs.

B. Brief description of the Windows Server Project Developer’s responsibilities:
1. Participate as a Project Member in IT projects, work on assigned tasks and provide project updates to Project Leads or other IT stakeholders.
2. Responsible for performing Requirements Analysis, Design, Development and Implementation of modifications to existing information technology (IT) systems or support Development and Implementation of new IT systems to optimize business processes.
3. Resolve routine business technology issues and recommend IT solutions that maximize operational efficiency and effectiveness. Follow up with resolution of issues to ensure timely response and customer satisfaction.
4. Provide routine preventative maintenance services of existing systems (systems enhancements, preventative and corrective maintenance, query support and general customer support).
5. Assist in development, validation and execution of Unit Testing and Integration Testing.
6. Assist in the execution of System Testing.
7. Resolve complex business technology issues. Develop, recommend, and implement innovative IT solutions to maximize operational efficiency and effectiveness. Integrate continuous process improvement/refinement by utilizing and applying operational and performance procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, business or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. An additional four (4) years of progressively responsible experience demonstrating expert knowledge of application systems, development and integration services.

Platform : .Net framework, COM / DCOM on Windows environment, Client Server architecture, Tibco
Technology (preferable)

• VB 6.0/VB .NET, Visual C/C++
• Microsoft .Net framework version 1.1
• C#/.Net
• TIBCO Business works (optional)
• SQL Server 2005/2008/2012
• Windows Scripting (batch files).
• Experience with a Program/Job Scheduling software (Control-M preferable).
• Experience with ALM: Source Code Versioning and Defect Tracking software (Microsoft TFS preferable).
• MS Word, Access, Excel
• Visual Studio .Net
• ASP, Javascript, HTML
• XML,
• Web services


Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Very self-directed & good troubleshooting skills. Must be able to create and follow procedures. Attention to detail and a "can-do" attitude. Excellent at multi-tasking and working well under pressure.
